Physical processed, life insurance rate is finalized.

So the results of our physicals are in.
There are good news, and there are bad news.

The good news is I am super-preferred.
My rate is even cheaper than what the agent quoted based on my answers.

The bad news is, DH's quote is $72 a month!!!!! at 27! He had a car accident 2 years ago that makes him more "expensive". but to that degree? I wonder if there is something else. Should I shop around? (now the results are in the common database so I don't think he'll need to take multiple physicals.

I wonder if it is even worth it to get life insurance at that rate. Maybe we should wait 3 more years until the car accident "falls off". (will it?)

    Congrats on the super-preferred! They don't quote that rate because few people get it.

    No advice on the hubby - that's a bummer!

    That seems like a pretty high insurance quote for someone who is 27 with just a car accident... still, I think your status leads things to even out. I wouldn't want to go uninsured for a long time just to save a few bucks.

    when we were first getting insurance, at the time of purchasing our house, DF was approved straight away and mine took a further couple of weeks, they had to 'investigate' my health because of the amount of times i visited the doctor last year (seriously, before last year i hadn't been to the doctors since i was in single digit age! but i had to go several times last year because i found a lump in my breast, and i wanted to find out why my leg hurt all the time). ours is around $63 a month for the both of us.
