Have been busy and super tired.

December 23rd, 2014 at 02:53 pm

With massive workload at work, and DH's final's time (he had to write them, have extra office hours and now he has to grade them). I've been going on very little sleep (getting up at 6 am, coming home around 8-9, putting baby to sleep and than doing everything after). It has just been too much.

I have missed many workout sessions (pretty much 2 months), had extra food and drinks to stay awake, and as a result gained weight. Now I need to lose close to 12 lb! this is pretty insane. Yesterday I finally saw my trainer again, and will up it to twice a week for a little while.

Luckily, things are getting back to normal at work. Apartment is currently looking like an episode of "hoarders". I need to catch up with too many things. But at least the main crunch should be behind.

Since things are getting back to normal, you will get back into a routine and with your exercise routine, you'll lose weight and feel better. Sometimes life is overwhelming...hang in there.

I hope you get the rest you need and can find some time to make you the priority!

The build up to the holidays can easily be overwhelming. Will DH be off through January 5th? It's so important to use whatever time off you have to relax and rejuvenate. I hope you'll let 'traditional' activities slide in favour of family time together and 'baby step' your way through the chores. In our home we block 20 minutes at the end of the day to 'Eliminate the Evidence' [ETE] putting stuff away. 20 minutes leaves little time for procrastination as we've set the kitchen timer and we rush through the public rooms, dumping trash, dishes to DW, pick up/putting stuff in it's 'home, throws folded, pillows plumped and looking 'company ready,' at least on the surface.

your own family over rides stuff, don't you think? Have a wonderful, calm, Christmas
