I am a champion procrastinator. Need accountability for my "to do" list

1. Submit out-of-network insurance claim for reimbursement

2. Bring new clothing to the tailor for hemming

3. Get a haircut

4. Look through drawers and assemble all gift cards in one place

5. Do laundry

6. Semi-annual dentist visit

7. Spring cleaning - bathroom

8. DH goal - sumbit FHSA claims

9. Find out from the tax unit the status of our tax review

10. Register for the next semester language class

And the most challenging part - it all has to be done before Sat, because we are going away to Atlantic city for the weekend.

I thought if I posted this list here, I'll be embarrassed not to do any of it again.
I hate some of these tasks.

I totally can feel your pain- I am a list maker and it really does help me to "keep track" of what i need to do...BUT- there are certain tasks that seem to continually fall to the bottom of the list... For me- I set a timer for an hour, put on my fav. tunes( if appropriate) and start with one of my "dreaded" tasks..If i finish it, then i move onto to the next...After the hour- I "reward" myself...read, take a walk, have a cup of coffee... Then onto the next "hour of work"..

I limit my "tasks" to no more than 3 hours (on my days off)

It is not a perfect method by far but I do seem more motivated if I know I won't be doping tasks ALL DAY...

    Good luck ..

I do lists as well. I will start off with a long list and list the most important 3 to do a day. When I do that I normally do more but more importantly, it keeps me from feeling worn out and helps me to prioritize.

Whatever I don't finish in a day, I'll add to the next days list and do the selection again. Good luck.

I also meant to add that when I have a deadline, I work backwards from that day and I know what I need to accomplish. I keep a calendar in front of me during those times and it might even have paying bills on it if I'm going to be away.
