Sick baby on Christmas

December 27th, 2011 at 03:00 pm

102.3 fever. Acetamenaphen only manages to bring it down to 101.7.
He is quite sick. Taking him to the doctor again today. The only plus in it being the holidays is that we had one more day home with him without having to take sick/annual leave.

Unfortunately I cannot take leave now, as everyone is out and there is nobody to cover for me.

DH is taking leave again now, and than my mom.

I hope he gets better soon! It seems unending... poor little guy has been through a lot, and I just want him to be happy and feel. He is so sad and weak, and cries a lot. Frown((

Poor sweetie! I remember my little one got a high fever on New Year's Day last year -- I think it got up to 104.5, and if it hit 105 we were going to have to take her to the ER. Luckily it broke after that, but it was very sad to see her so sick.

He is still sick. Even more. Went to the doctor. They said nothing they can do, just have to wait until his body fight this off. He is so miserable, sad, weak, does not want to eat more than a few spoonfulls. We cook many many dishes, delicious, giving him a choice and keep offering, but he is just not interested. I think he lost weight, and he was small to begin with. Even his butt no longer looks round Frown you can see he lost weight by looking at his butt.

He rubs his eyes, especially the left one. yellow stuff is in the corner of his eyes when he wakes up. Everything is bothering him. Throat, cough, tummy, fever (must affect how his skin and muscles feel), nose running non-stop and raw...

One of us is holding him pretty much all day long or he cries. Even when he is held he sometimes cries inconsolably -- and that is not his normal personality. He is normally a very patient and agreeable baby. I hold him close to me, kiss him, talk to him, pat his back, stroke his hair... nothing else I can do to comfort him. Frown
