$600-$940 for 1 down pillow?

Scandia down makes probably world's most expensive pillow:

I really don't know if they are worth it (I guess if you are very rich, maybe).
But since I am not rich, I would not buy a pillow for that much money.

But, there was one on sample sale for $199 and I bought it!

Can't wait till it arrives. I was ok with that price - it is an average price of a good down pillow.
I jumped on the opportunity, and I was not the only one. It was sold out very fast. Even comforters on sale for $1,400 from $3,000+ were sold out. It just seems crazy - you could buy a car for that much money. But, I guess, the world of the rich is different.

LOL, brooklyngirl. I've been following your blog from the beginning, but once in awhile you still manage to shock me. $200 for a pillow! But you've obviously managed your money well, to have no debt and be able to put away savings every month, so go for it. Smile

We are lower middle class (by my own estimation) but my daughter sleeps with a $200 pillow purchased by my grandmother. She no longer complains of neck pain and it is the "perfect" fluffness for her - when this pillow dies, I will gladly purchase her a replacement for whatever it costs. Sleep is essential and comfortable sleep is priceless.

    You got an awesome deal!

Actually, I bet you will love the pillow and the price was bargain.
I bought a Scandia down comforter, like.... almost 20 years ago. The regular price was about $2,000 at that time, and I think I paid $500.
It was the best purchase I've ever made. It was like magic. Cool in summer and warm in winter. I mean, it was just WONDERFUL.
Unfortunately, I had to get rid of it when I moved to the U.S. I still miss it a lot.

DF's brother in law swears by those magnetic things (you know, magnetic pillows/undersheet etc) he has the whole kit which cost him over 5k, plus he bought the mattress as well which by itself was nearly 5k! funny thing though, he stayed at our house once unexpectantly and did not have those things with him, he used our spare bed which was a futon, and said he had not had a sleep like that in years Big Grin
