Do you ever think I'm exaggerating NY prices?

September 29th, 2011 at 05:02 pm

Just posting some pics to prove it. And this is not in Manhattan. This is my favorite store in Westchester.

The selection and quality is great. And granted, these are premium items. But still, it is expensive for meat.

Wow. Is that /lb? At those prices, and if you have storage, it almost pencils in to order up 40-50# from our farmer, and FedEx the cooler. Smile

Yes, it is per pound. You can click on the picture to zoom in.

Baselle, space is far more expensive than meat. We don't even have a room for a table in our kitchen, let alone some storage freezers...

Wow. Yeah, NY is spendy all right. And it's not like Westchester County is exactly going to lead to a trip to the bargain basement in a lot of areas, right? I think I like baselle's idea, but it does presuppose that you have some insurance of a place to actually put a freezer. Maybe under the bed? Wink Jerry

Jerry, if you live in NYC apartment and you have a meat freezer, that's probably because you have dismembered someone in your bathtub. Embarrassment
